Tom Conradt at Boxelder Consulting was extremely helpful in giving me the advice I needed after receiving a letter from the IRS. I had originally filed my taxes with H&R Block, so they were my first call when I needed assistance. Unfortunately, I was met with a rude associate and received no help at all. I decided to reach out to an independent tax professional, which is how I came across Tom. He promptly returned my call, was very friendly, and took the time to give me a quick consultation and explain the next steps I should take. I really appreciated his patience, professionalism, and willingness to help during what was a stressful process. I contacted Boxelder Consulting because I was dealing with several years of tax issues and honestly wasn’t sure where to begin. I spoke with Tom, who took the time to listen to my situation and explain my options. What impressed me most was his honesty. After discussing my situation, he told me that hiring his firm probably didn’t make financial sense for me because the cost of their services might outweigh the benefit. Instead of pressuring me to sign up, he gave me clear guidance on steps I could take myself, including filing my missing returns, working directly with the IRS on a payment agreement, and looking into penalty relief. I really appreciated that he was willing to give me helpful direction even though I wasn’t becoming a paying client. That kind of honesty and professionalism is hard to find. Tom was very helpful. I set up a phone consultation. He called right on time. He was able to help me with just a free 10 minute phone call. He was incredibly honest and transparent right from the beginning. He explained the simplicity of my situation. Instead of just taking my money, he actually spent some time to explain and provide advice on how to handle everything myself. I had more questions and Tom helped answered them all. Reached out to Tom and his team to help a family member deal with some tax issues and I can't say enough good about them all.  Tom was extremely thorough and the communication was great! I don't do reviews often but, Tom and the team at Boxelder are top tier! Truly Tom and his team went above and beyond helping me and saving hundreds and thousands of dollars with the IRS! Just trust in his work and that he and his team will get you through it and the results will show for themselves! If you have IRS tax problems this is where and who you go to! Excellent service from Tom Conradt at Boxelder Consulting. We determined that my situation (household taxes) was fairly common and that the most cost-effective solution was for me to plow through it with TurboTax, which I have done. I called to ask a few questions about setting up a business in a very niche industry. Tom was able to take my first call and spent 10 minutes explaining to me his thoughts on how to start simple.
