About Boxelder

As lead attorney at Boxelder Consulting, Tom directs the resolution strategy for all Boxelder tax relief clients. With over a decade of experience negotiating with the IRS on behalf of taxpayers, Tom is one of our founding partners. Tom loves to dig deep into to the negotiations phase of each case, and see the immediate relief that clients experience after they sign up and start seeing results. Tom enjoys all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer, including skiing, hiking and climbing with his girlfriend, Megan.

David Weishaus, co-founder of Boxelder Consulting and Tax Relief, has over 20 years of small business consulting and tax advisory experience. He has a law degree from the University of Baltimore and completed undergrad from Johns Hopkins University with a focus on International Business and East Asian Studies. Now, Dave specializes in financial consulting, tax planning, and general administrative services. David’s favorite part of working at Boxelder Consulting is working with start-ups and sharing in the excitement of launching a new venture. David is the proud father of Moses, a gentle 200lb St. Bernard.

Sarah is the Director of Boxelder Bookkeeping. With over fifteen years experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper and QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Sarah oversees all bookkeeping for our small business clients. She has a degree in both accounting and finance. Sarah loves working with team-orientated, driven individuals and is passionate about helping our clients overcome their accounting fears. When she’s away from work, Sarah enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband, her two children, and her mini-doodle named Mille. Family hikes and paddle boarding are favorites. Sarah also loves going home to the UK to visit family and relax by the ocean.

Audra is our Chief Marketing Strategist, and a partner at Boxelder. Audra has been a fundamental part of our team since Boxelder’s founding, helping us grow from a one-room office in 2015 to the firm we are today. In that time, Audra has built an in-house marketing department that’s unprecedented in the tax relief industry. With years of experience as a marketing director at other companies, Audra leads all high level marketing strategy for Boxelder as a business, and for our marketing clients. She loves the collaborative environment at Boxelder, and loves help our start-up clients grow sales year after year. When she’s not at the office, you can usually find Audra on the golf course, or spending time with her husband Dave and her St. Bernard, Moses.

Meet Jaden, our Director of Finance, bringing a wealth of expertise in tax and advisory services to the table. Jaden’s journey began at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he studied accounting and finance at the Labovitz School of Business and Economics. With valuable experience in public accounting and a CPA designation under his belt, Jaden joined our team. Prior to that, in 2021, he ventured to Denver as an AmeriCorps volunteer, where he served as a financial educator for refugee families. Beyond the financial realm, Jaden is a culinary maestro, a film enthusiast, and an avid concert-goer. He’s also an outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys backpacking, trail running, and competitive sports. With his dynamic presence and unwavering positivity, Jaden is a valuable asset to our team, ensuring excellence in every endeavor.

Jasmin is an IRS enrolled agent & associate at Boxelder, primarily handling client relationships and case work in the Tax Relief department. Graduating from the University of Boulder with a BA in Sociology, Jasmin has worked previously as Deputy Clerk for the Colorado Supreme Court. Jasmin’s favorite aspects of working at Boxelder are the dog friendly environment, and how helpful the Boxelder team is all around. In her spare time, Jasmin likes to go on hikes with her dog Mac (Shepard and Red Heeler mix) and her boyfriend Devon, and have movie nights.

As senior associate & full charge bookkeeper at Boxelder Bookkeeping, Johnathan is a jack-of-all-trades. He manages company accounts, completes bookkeeping for our small business clients, supports the business consulting department, handles billing, and even works as a Spanish translator when needed. Johnathan’s favorite part about working at Boxelder is the challenge. In his position, there’s always something new to learn, and always something to teach to the new members. In their spare time, Johnathan and his wife Carina take care of two blue heelers. He also loves music, cars, and motorcycles.

At Boxelder, Wendy is a senior associate and full charge bookkeeper, assisting the accounting, tax preparation, and bookkeeping departments. Wendy has 30 plus years of experience preparing tax returns, financial statements, payroll, and all aspects of accounting. Wendy loves working with Boxelder’s excellent team, where everyone works well together, and she appreciates that Boxelder really cares about its clients and employees. In her spare time, Wendy takes care of three Pembroke Welsh Corgis, and shows them in Agility competition, Rat Games, and Barn Hunt.

Meet Emily, our go-to guru for all things bookkeeping and data entry. With a penchant for numbers and an eye for detail, she keeps our financial records in impeccable order. Emily thrives on collaboration, cherishing every opportunity to work closely with both her team and our valued clients. Her passion for learning and her dedication to gaining new experiences shine through in her work.

Emily’s financial prowess extends to her role with a custom brokerage company, where she adeptly handles finance and accounting matters. Her expertise in this field is second to none, making her an indispensable asset to our team.

When she’s not crunching numbers, Emily enjoys an active lifestyle. Tennis, gym sessions, and cricket matches keep her energized and engaged. Her commitment to both her professional and personal life is truly inspiring, and we’re fortunate to have her as part of our team.

As an Associate at Boxelder, Raj is a vital member of our accounting and tax relief teams, handling document organization and day-to-day case management for our clients. Here at Boxelder, Raj loves to help clients take control of their finances and make sure they have the resources needed to succeed.

As Director of Insurance, Sean helps individuals and businesses alike develop insurance strategies custom tailored to their needs. He’s a graduate of Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania. With over a decade of professional experience in insurance, payroll, HR, and the financial sector, Sean’s background gives him tremendous insight to what concerns his clients are often faced with. On a typical weekend you can catch Sean skiing powder at Loveland ski area with his Fiancée Emily, and his trusty dog Finn!
